If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong

It just sits there, watching me,
A once bright soft coat of White,
Now a dim and dark shade of Gray.
I feel a puncture of shame
As I am forced to yank another piece of stuffing off.

This blanket has been with me my entire life.
This just can't be happening, not yet, not now.
Why, why WHY, must everything go.

Every story must finish,
Every lily must wilt,
Every toy must break,
Every song must end,
And every little baby must be damned into death!!!

It...isn't just fair
It's just not FAIR!
Why must we watch the things we love
Fade away??

Is this what love does to us??????
