Pushing the Frontier
The dark, pocketed defect
Careening around celestial bodies
A projectile fired by the enemy
The flaming inferno in a soundless void
Light-years from its origin
Once a Jigsaw Puzzle, shard of a planet
Now an unbridled, free mass of ice and rock
Past the point of no return
In the horizon
A blue drop looms
Miniscule in the distance
Yet, harboring so much
The cyan sphere grows larger
No longer a single drop of water
Green slivers form against the blue canvas
And a new frontier is discovered
