Out on the Water
I run through the door and out to the dock,
my boat there waiting for me.
I rig it and head on the water,
which is rough, but it’s no problem for me.
I tack and gybe with confidence,
as my boat cuts through the water.
We sail downwind and raise the chute,
more commonly known as the spinnaker.
We lower the jib and raise the board,
as a wave comes over the bow.
As the boat sails on,
we drop the chute, and sail on in the water.
As the sun soon sets,
and we’ve been on the water all day,
we head to the dock.
Thinking, “Oh what a day!”
We walk to the Cabin,
get cleaned up, and grab what we need.
We walk over to dinner
and we have great food to eat.
Soon, we get ready for bed.
Within minutes we are lying in bed,
Getting ready to
Sleep.
