Our Secret

One night last fall the air was warm.
I met a black leather jacket on long, skinny legs
clad in clear ice eyes, mysterious set lips.
Beckoning to me, I couldn’t resist.

Those eyes gave me a wink,
those lips gave me a smirk.
Sharing with me his secret,
worn black leather stretched around both of us.

Hands clasped together, laughing away nights.
Seasons flew by,
making more time.
Comforted by the high of our secret.

Hands clasped together, shaking away the nights.
Bodies overwhelmed,
Losing our time.
Terrified by the addiction of our secret.

Hooded eyes gave me a glare,
risky lips gave me a scowl.
I left him alone with our secret,
Worn bruised skin stretched around both of us.

One night this fall, the air is cold.
I leave a black suit jacket on long, still legs
Clad in closed eyes and blue set lips.
Lowering him to the ground, I know this is it.

I based this mostly on a free write my creative writing teacher made us do. I wrote about a girl falling for a mysterious guy in a leather jacket and I really liked the base of it so I started this poem and added a little bit of my uncle's relationship with drugs and his girlfriend who died from an overdose but from the girl's view.
