Noise
So much noise all about us
The gnarled gnawing of ungracious grating on my ears
Like the static trill from a million radio stations accumulated in
The drunken drum that beats off rhythm
While all of the world looks on with blankened heart-felt stares.
The syllabic train-wreck that conversation must be likened
To can only exist in one’s mind, for without the mind
All of it is nothing but noise.
