the deer
It grazes through the woods,
Not worried not afraid the deer
Is being secretly trapped,
By a large creature,
It has no thought to run ,
Nor does it think to hide.
For everything else in its path would hide
Down deep into the woods,
Every smaller creature would run
From the large deer,
That dangerous creature,
But its fellow animals are not the only to be trapped.
Now at night not all the animals are asleep, some trapped
By darkness of the moon, the sun was now to hide
Long into the night the creature
Gets its self caught deep in the woods,
Suddenly not alone in the night, eyes watched the deer,
Eyes not only of animals but hunters on the run.
Deeper into dawn the deer’s mind would run,
Daringly awake at midnight the deer was trapped
Of insomnia, the hunter studied hard on the deer,
Making sure to watch where it would hide,
Down in the deep part of the woods,
The deer couldn’t stand the eyes of that creature.
Not everything was alive, and crawling, many creatures
Lights had run out but the deer was still on the run,
Quietly lowering its head to snack on grass in the woods,
The many eyes of different things trapped
And locked onto the deer and would never hide,
From the sight of the large deer.
The hunter would start to step closer to the deer
As he was treading through the grass toward the creature,
The deer heard the man and knew to hide
As he rammed into the animal before its run,
By the hunter he is haunted and trapped
And finally put down in the woods.
He is no longer able to run anywhere in the woods,
Nor could he hide any longer the deer
was now trapped by the bullet sent from that deadly large creature.
