not alone

save me
come the cries
lift me, raise me
they whisper
touch me, hold me, love me,
tell me
i am not alone.
their voices waver and break
like a spark blown
out of existence
by the dimmest of stars.
so many
unanswered calls, yet
they never realize
all they ever had to do
was answer
each other.
