The Fear in the Mind

Do you know what fear is?
I bet you think you do
But, do you know it really?
The thing that turns your skin blue
Have you ever felt fear?
The feeling that stays low
Because when it's midnight, it says:
"What was that shape in the window?"
Has fear ever touched your heart
With it's icy cold grip?
The thing that makes your mouth tart
The sour taste on your lip
Fear, it's like a wave
Once it begins, it starts to build
Upon itself over and over,
Forming an evil guild!
But, is fear all bad?
No, it is not
Because doesn't fear birth courage?
Just some food for thought...
