I am Lauren daughter of God
Renouncing existence in a faraway place,
So that I may famish a frightening life of misery.
I live in a place where the demons are beautiful
And the angels hide secretly among the trees.
The roaring of the boys and girls that bite ferociously
My heart, mind, and soul burn in flesh.
It is a wicked town that breeds courage,
But my eyes see a home, where I lay my head
On the shoulder of a fearless Goddess
Worshiping her benevolent beauty that I pray
Will caress my body as I grow old in her footsteps.
