Beautiful Destruction
The storm starts way out in the east.
Just off the banks of the water,
At the end of the peer it’s as if you can touch the lightning,
It strikes and booms,
Shakes the ground and stirs the water,
There’s no sound but the cracks of thunder,
And the intense crashing of the waves,The towns empty,
Everyone’s left,
Well mostly everyone,
There’s a few that stayed,
Trying to “save their houses”,
They can try all they might,
It’s not going to work..
It’s coming to fast,
And way to strong.
As it comes it sets the sky a blaze,
Blacks and purples are illuminated with lightning,
It’s frightening, yet beautiful.
The rain falls hard in the distance,
Then there’s that calm,
Right before the storm.
It rashes and raves through the town,
Nothing is safe,
Cars fly,
Trees crash,
It’s all just getting picked up and thrown like paper balls,
After a while it calms,
The rain stops,
As I walk out from the bunker beneath my house,
I look at the ground,
And see pure destruction,
Yet at the sky,
Something more beautiful,
Completely beyond words.
