Girl who couldn't hope
Brace yourself for what is to come
we dont know why
or how id had been done
but there must be a reason; there is one
There is hope cancer can be stopped
or fear that it cannot
but for now we must stay
optimistic in anyway
Optimism is healthy
and pessimism is not
but I can't help feeling
that way a lot
Perhaps I'm a realist
in order to cope
or maybe I'm a lost case
of the girl who couldnt hope
Does it matter either way?
The disease is here to stay
She will fight
and live to see more days
So why do we dwell
on the future that could be hell
when there is time to love
and thank him above
For He has given her this long
and that is a large blessing
already wrapped in one.
