Every Breath I Take
Every breath I take,
My life fades.
Consistently molded in glass
Only to be broken.
Does my time matter?
Every breath I take,
Another
Draws their last.
Their clock stops
With the sound of bombs or sorrow.
Every breath I take
Someone ends an other's
Or watches it evaporates
Into the sky.
Sadness is the last emotion triggered
Every breath I take
An animal takes one.
Hunted down then
Put down to be
One with the Earth
Every breath I take
A heart shatters
Turning black.
Encased in dying passion
And slain memories
Every breath I take
Insurgents fight for freedom
To fix a
Lasting evil
To its people and nation
Every breath I take
The sands of time
Fall to the bottom.
Only to repeat
To replay humanity's existence
