Ballad
She yelled at him until she was red,
Yelled, ‘Is there something wrong with your head?’ Who am I to take a side?
‘You are so filthy and gross,
How could you even come so close?’ Who am I to take a side?
I just wanted to feel. What is the big deal? Who am I to take a side?
She yelled until he was in the corner, How could he tell her he was a loner? Who am I to take a side?
To puff a smoke was just a dare. He did it so he could join the lair. Who am I to take a side?
Who am I to take a side?
After all, the he is me.
I’m not so sure who I want to be. With no one to listen.
With no one to hear.
And too many rules to by abide, But absolutely no one to guide. So who am I to take a side?
Where to go and what to think? How could she have found a link? Who am I to take a side?
