Butterfly Effect
One person cannot change the world
We tell ourselves
One insignificant person in the midst of billions
Could not
Make an impression.
Could not
Make a change.
Scientist today say the wings of a butterfly
Coming together as it goes through the air
Can cause a storm on the other side of the world.
The tiniest puff of air can build and build and build into
Something momentous.
Something unstoppable.
Why should it be impossible for one person to then make a change?
The wings of a butterfly coming together as it goes through the air
Can cause a storm.
Shaking the hand of a white man,
Pinning a rainbow badge,
Picking up the baby you know she should have waited five years to have
But love all the same
Could start a revolution.
Something momentous.
Something unstoppable.
