One man’s trash rots
Hot memories sharpened on a heart of stone
Bite deep into her bread ‘n’ butter
Don’t let the door hit your heels, on your way out

Stuck on the outside looking in
An ice tumor forms a translucent cast
Now no plumber’s bill need be paid, to fix the leaks

A burning outcast thaws what he can by candle
Then creeping deep back into the stone city
He opens slammed doors, returning to the lair

Icy walls warp society’s light
Shadows fall upon the once true hero turned villain; he’s making his final stand
While twisted “good guys” live normal lies
Casting shadows identical to those before the walls

Remembering times of old rekindles renewed false hope
Hiding alone emotion puts a plan into motion
To hold out until another man finds his re-recycled treasure
