"That's funny, I'm funny." -Stan Smith, American Dad

You have no boundaries here, you have no limit, said he.
Oh but that is where we differ, said she, one must always look at the horizon for much more purpose than we were previously bestowed.
Ah yes, but one was never previously bestowed anything.
But, what on Earth can you mean?
One must always look at the horizon for much more purpose, this is true, but previously bestowed is dreadfully false. You can never be bestowed, you see, it is at an end for us. For us all rather, we must come to an end. Sometimes early sometimes late. But never the less it all comes to an end. We end is what I’m getting at. There is no before only now and the future. We must make the most of now as we can, because it’s always the last day we have and it’s always our last chance to make a first impression. You can never see this though, and I pity you.
Why’s that?
Because, you are a beautiful lie and I am a painful truth. You represent all that is good and pure in the world, and what is left for me? Nothing but despair and grief. They respect you, they use to worship you, you will always be their closest friend, but you always leave them. And I will be with them forever. It’s nothing you can change, it’s fine from my perspective. But we must always leave we can never stay. It’s always been that way and that’s how it will remain. Forever-more you cannot leave me never-more. We must all become to it, at first it’s frightening but we grow accustomed to it. It’s a trait we must all follow. Passed down from our mothers and fathers and their mothers and their fathers all the way up the line. And then whispering in his sinister like voice, but yet so lovely as if you could sing a child to sleep almost as beautiful as a baby’s laughter, his voice, we must die.

The idea of how short the human existence just hit me one day and I got the idea for this so I wrote it.
