Motion of the Ocean
My whole mood changes
I can’t help but smile at the sun
Its rays bouncing off the little sand crystals
I can hear all the people around me dancing to the beat of a song that goes along with the motion of the ocean.
I feel the tide rise and slip through my toes
I am free.
I run into the water and get farther and farther with my board under my body
I paddle into a dream
I sit up on my board and I put my hands on the surface of the water
I wait for the bouncing water to tell me it is time to go
I lay flat and paddle into the perfect wave
I turn around, and just as i feel the wave slightly lift me.. I rise
I become one with the motion of the ocean carrying me
Controlling every dip and curve of the ocean, the wave I am riding back to reality.
A two minute ride feels like a lifetime of freedom...
I am free... like the breeze in my hair, like the sand in my hands, and like the ocean in my toes.
I smile when it is over because I know I can get more, and be free again.
