I am always wondering and very curious for what the future holds.
I wonder why certain marriages don't work out.
I hear yelling and screaming coming for the kitchen in my head.
I see sadness in my mother's eyes as she wipes away a tear.
I want to know that my parents will be together forever.
I am always wondering and very curious for what the future holds.
I pretend that everything is okay when it clearly isn't.
I believe that people give second chances when the opposing person deserves it (he doesn't).
I touch the deep wound in my heart, wincing from the pain it has caused.
I just feel heartbroken.
I worry that today will be the day they say they are done with each other.
I cry.
I am always wondering and very curious for what the future holds.
I understand that everything happens for a reason.
I say that life isn't fair.
I dream that everything would be the same as it was before.
I am always wondering and very curious for what the future holds.

I wrote this in middle school when I thought my parents were going to get a divorce. They fought all the time and sometimes it felt like it would never stop and other times it felt like one of them was going to leave and not come back. I hope that someone who's parents are struggling in their marriage can find solace knowing they are not alone.
