Seeing
Young, young enough to see,
The world as nothing.
The sky always blue,
The sun was always warm,
Just living because I was alive.
I didn't see,
Anything I didn't want to see,
But now, I can't hide,
From the ugly face of the world.
The once blue sky,
Now angry at me.
The once warm sun,
Colder than it seems.
The trotting trees,
Rustling to the beat of my heart.
When you grow
The only thing you see,
Is the true face of the world,
The one our ancestors created.
If you look around,
And open your eyes,
Remember -
No one is born with a purpose,
A purpose is born because of you.
