I Hear 2013 Rumbling
I hear 2013 rumbling, the ecstatic cheer I hear,
Those of cars, everyone rumbling its as it should be heard and infamous,
The computer rumbling its as it turns in its monitor and tower,
The cell phone rumbling its as it receives a message, or sends off a message,
The tablet rumbling what belongs to it in its apps, the Ipad rumbling on the way to
school,
The copier rumbling as it spits out paper, the fax machine rumbling as he takes some in,
The Ipod’s rumble, The GPS on his way in the morning, or at noon or dinnertime,
The deep rumble of the blu ray player, or of the DVD player at work, or of the speakers
bellowing or chuckling,
Each rumbling what belongs to him or her and no thing else,
The day what belongs to the day—at night the echo of young people, un social and
technological,
Rumbling with definite sounds of their infamous synchronized song.
