the girl's whispered song
the last she'll ever sing
laying down her life
she surrenders everything
calm and in control
contorted eyes steadied
love before her presence
her life was never readied
soul inside it's cage
bounded well and tight
although he will not show
he stays within her sight
the glimmer of hope fading
in love she once believed
her life is at it's end
she's always been deceived
the girl's whispered song
the last she'll ever sing
laying down her life
she surrenders everything
