The Swan
White, delicate blossoms fall from the sky
The spray of the fountain is serene
Only she can hear the willow tree sigh
 And still remain unseen
The graceful shape of the swan comes into view
From the banks of the dew pond
The sky is cast with a rosy hue
 Dewdrops speckle the fern frond
The swan emerges from the waterside
That bears lush green grass and flower
She dips her head and shakes her hide
For her wakefulness is upon the hour
She glides into the waters deep
 Ripples follow her trail
Her eyes are misty from a blissful sleep
And the plumes on her figure are pale
Her neck is a graceful curve of white
Her beak bears a knob of black
The spray around her creates a splendid sight
And forms silver drops on her back
She circles a stone, pure in color
And prepares to leave the ground
Let us not forget the beauty of the swan
 And enjoy having her around
