A Bittersweet Death
I bleed out for your love; my heart is aching.
Eyes cold with tears,
Smile broken and all hope shattered.
I cry out on the floor, where all promises were tossed.
My soul has been stabbed, and every bit of happiness is leaking.
My heart is burning, skin shaking.
Here, you left me to my will; I shall now die in your favor.
I trace your footprints with my finger, where all the good things were left behind.
I eat away at your sweet words as I replay every bittersweet moment in my mind
I get high off your scent one last time; my body coated in your clothes.
I whisper my ever-lasting love to you one last time, words trembling.
That’s when I close my eyes, and I feel a sudden disperse of peace.
