I'll Watch Upon You

When all is lost and nothing is found
There you'll be upon the ground
But from my place up in the sky
I'll be there with you when you cry

I've watched you grow my sweet dear child
Through all things hectic and all things mild
But it's been a long time since we lasted spoken
You're mind so lost and your heart so broken

I fear you have forgotten that I am near
Ring out your prayer, I will hear
Remember that I am not that far away
That I can prevent your days of gray

Why don't you look to me anymore
My guidance and love are forever pure
I have never turned away from you
So please just ask for that start so new

I leave you now to make a choice
To remain so hush or let out your voice
And just because I'm not there to hold you close
Does not mean I don't love you the most

So when all is lost and nothing is found
There you'll be upon the ground
But from my place up in the sky
I'll be there with you when you cry

Maybe it could have been better for Zach; but I think—i know it's perfect. The emotion in it, especially the love, just touches me, melts me like a canlde. I wanna be like the person talking for the people I love. The first stanza is just marvelous. You're a wonderful poet. I want to read more of your work, Andrew. Please post more. And know this: no matter where I am, "I'll be there with you when you cry". ^u^

I read your poem, and it was good; it's just certain parts showed an imbalance of structure. You're message was fine and dandy, but I believe you should have used more metaphors and similes. Your work would have been so much better.
