Frost

White crystals dance across the
Green leaves, frozen in the early morning air.
Chilled into silence, every
Step breaks their unspoken beauty.
The sun begins shine, and
The daily ritual commences.
Moment by
Moment,
The sun’s blessed warmth dissolves
The frost,
Until it is mysteriously reapplied
During the night.

Without fail, the Sun and the Moon do battle,
Every day
As they seek control of the open meadows.
Frost coats the field every night,
Only for the sun to melt it away
Every morning.
As the sun rises anew,
The Frost exhales in frustration, and
Hopes
Against hope
That tomorrow morning it may survive a little
Longer.

This is really good;) I loved your imagery. I like writing about nature too, especially fire and ice and all that.
