If they only knew the truth
You see that girl? She looks happy right? Telling jokes, smiling, laughing.
And..
Dying inside, she’s hurt, tired, Tired of all the drama. Tired of not being good
enough; Tired of life.
But..
She does not want to look dramatic, weak; attention seeking.
So..
She keeps it all inside. Acts like everything is perfect, but cries at night. So
that everyone will think that she is the happiest person they know. That she
has no problems. And her life is perfect.
But..
If they only knew the truth..
She is scared, scared of life. Scared of living, she is scared to be herself. She
fears that if she does people won’t accept her for who she really is.
If they only knew..
She’s worried, worried about her future. Worried about her mother, will she
come home tonight? How long will she be gone this time? Is she okay?
If they only knew..
She dreams, dreams of a world without pain. Without loss, without death. A
world where she can be herself. And not be scared of being judged for it.
Sometimes she even dreams of a world without her in it.
If they only knew the truth..
