Peace is Gone
She runs toward the horizon,
her blond hair glistening in the sun.
When she smiles at me,
the world seems to be okay.
Her innocent face
is almost angelic, if only she had wings,
with fingers so small,
serving the earth,
and everyone in it.
But she is gone now.
There is no sun or horizon.
The world is not okay.
Children are crying,
people are fighting,
parents are parting,
families are splitting,
wars are starting,
and people are dying.
My little angel is gone.
And gone with her is PEACE.
