After She Said No
She was my sunrise every day,
At night I could feel her next to me,
Throughout my struggle she made my fears go away,
I thought she could see what I see
In my blind love for her,
I forgot about a good friend,
But I could not see what we really were,
My endless ambitions had no end
But after she said no,
And I had no place to go,
You were there with me,
And your grace defeated my agony
