The Wolf: My Partner Through Loss of Love

I have studied many times,

This pedestal towering over the rustling pines.

The lone wolf embedded in marble guarding my underground home,

Dons a black coat, from onyx and marble it is sown.

We walk and roam,

Through the nights alone.

I am his guide through death, and he is mine,

Even when we travel to the boundaries foretold in this so-called holy tome

I am desperately cradling under sand, mud and grass,

Even though I don't believe in it any more...

My symbolism poem in which I had to start it with: 'I have studied many times...'
