The moon smiled brightly on the silent street
His sweet elegance sparking a sense of bliss
Not a soul around to smile back at his kind face,
He still shines on feeding off of the sun’s energy,
Rebounding it subtly down to the cold ground
He floats high up and over the streetlamps,
Watching the invisible breeze whistle
As it slowly strolls through the trees
His presence causing the leaves to dance
He watches the lonely cat mingle with the streetlamps,
Slowly meandering down the way
He casually drifts over this glorious scene with no one to share it with but himself
All alone
High above everything else
Drifting

I originally wrote this as a snapshot and found that is spoke to me poetically more than literarily so I thought I might share it.
