My heart ripples off
in directions unknown.
Never smacking walls,
kissing concrete.
I tried
to rest it in the crevices
of your palms,
you watched its
blood drip
onto the white carpet.

Before dropping it.

My tears bounced
off floor puddles.
And I thought you would catch them
in your supple fingers.
You go off in your own way
ricochets off the bricks
but in Her direction, this time.

i hope that people will get the message from my poem that sometimes when love leaves, it doesn't come back. Sometimes it goes on to someone else.
