Summer Days
Afternoons wasted by the chlorine,
White fence lines the premise.
Across wanders my young eyes,
She stands, waiting.
Jeers from peers echo,
Leaps from the platform,
First love in misty June
Hot as ice
Passion burns the iron center
Limited years of breathing
Celebration of life,
Judy takes the jump
Judy’s finger compressed by diamond
Waves crash the shore,
Is this the end?
New love blossoms until marble stone overhead.
