Far Away
Waiting at the airport
Wanting to fly away
Sighing to you softly
As I’m leaving here today
I don’t really want to leave
I don’t really want to go
It’s just too hard to say this
When I know I’ll miss you so
Now im on the plane and moving
Across the snow stained earth
When I want to be there with you
Sitting, resting on the hearth
I didn’t mean to leave you
I never want you sad
But I know that if I didn’t
People would be mad.
I’m bound by rules
Chained by these laws
I want to let you know
You save me from my flaws
With you, I’m alright
I’m no longer just there
Invisible no more
When you gently kiss my hair
Holding me and whispering
Tales so soft and sweet
When I do come back though
There with you I’ll meet.
