Just a small pebble
Polished smooth with years in a river
Is about to make a big change
Nestled amongst familiar faces
He has no intention of moving
But before he realizes it
He has been lifted out of his comfort zone
First backwards then forwards
He flies through the air
Landing with a splash
He disrupts the peaceful surface
Slowly floating down, into a new life
He sees the ripples he has created
They start small, but soon grow
Tiny waves emanate from the center
Slowly but surely grow bigger
Waves felt across an ever increasing range
Grow bigger still
They started with a tiny splash
As the first waves rippled
The others reinforce them
They grow stronger with every rise and fall
They have evolved from ripples
Into waves of change
