And then I grew up
I remember the time I could look in your eyes
When I had issues at school
I remember the time I had half my mind
Because my freedom was still by my side
I remember the time I didn't have therapy
And my tears would never escape
I remember the time I couldn't care less
And the boys on the playground were nothing to impress
I remember the time where I couldn't lie
Because I had nothing to hide
I remember the days were this was true
And then I grew up…and nothing came true
