I have stepped on many stones,
Some of them round,
Small, and although I thought
I knew where I was, I never
Truly did know where I was
at all.
When I glance back at the past mistakes,
using all the courage I can muster
I can faintly catch a small glimpse of the hopes
I continue to carry in my heart.
Although there is a rough terrain blocking
my path, my spirit wanders
Freely. How shall a heart like mine
Thrive in a whirlwind of disasters?
Those who were unlucky to tremble along the way,
scar my feet and bruise my toes.
Yet, I go on, needless to say,
With full speed ahead.
My endless tunnel continues
Questioning my every move,
Whispers echo: “Walk through the tunnel,
cut through the jagged stones.”
My brain hasn’t a clue what this means,
But, somehow, my heart does.
