What's to come
The thought that fills my (m)ind everyday;
Constantly reminding myself to be thankful and not take my life for granted,
Seeing others fall apart wh(i)le I just watch from the outside looking in,
Waiting for what will come tomorrow and what God will bring,
The unimaginable moment when its time to (s)ay goodbye-
Never expecting when it will come,
One (s)econd life is okay; and the next it’s falling to pieces,.
Tears streaming down like rainfall.
Realizing that things w(i)ll forever be different,
Always hoping the end will change, but knowing it never will.
Feeling the emptiness that eats me away i(n)side,
Finally understanding the unfortunate situation of what has been done.
The memories will remain livin(g) within us,
Always in our loving hearts,
Nevertheless, moving on is the necessary(y) next step to be successful in life…
Will those memories eventually fade into the past?
Having dependable people to lean (o)n,
Support systems that stretch as far as you let them,
Still the darkness lies deep within each one of (u)s,
However, until then, we have to learn how to handle what’s to come.
