The ocean dances with the moon,
swaying back and forth,
a rhythmic cadence of motion
singing as she is pulled
to and fro

She whispers to me,
thirsting for my presence,
her tides lapping like a parched tongue on a searing hot day

She plays with me when I'm bored,
her waves chasing me
as I dive under with only seconds to spare

She heals my wounds
her remedies irritating my skin
yet curing the infection

I listen to Ocean's lullaby
Her gentle waves repeating like a tune,
sending me to serenity's slumber

The ocean reperesents so many things in life. "She" can be rough and choppy or calm and serene. In this poem I wanted to personify the ocean as a calm gentle being with much to offer.
