Lying Eyes

Tile seems to be rocking from under your feet.
The walls are waves,
Splashing your face with painful force.
Skylights blind you,
Lights seem to be pushing you to the ground.
You walk through the halls,
Face pale,
Stomach empty.
Your body leads you to a mirror.
Eyes full of loathing,
Mind seething with hatred.
Disgust echoing through your ears.
Tired eyes blur the reflection.
You are too small-
But you feel too big.

The author's comments:
I've had bad experiences with body dismorphia and anorexia when I was younger, and i'm still having trouble with it now. I wanted to express my feelings toward it through poetry.
