Camp Timbers
One night
At the old YMCA camp,
Camp Timbers,
Eight girls sat in an old cabin
Deep in the woods
Telling boundless ghost stories
Of what has happened in years past.
Suddenly,
A chilly burst of wind comes in
Through the old crickty windows.
Almost as if someone
Or rather, something,
Was hovering over the frazzled girls
Breathing profoundly.
Perhaps it was claw man or,
Boys trying to scare them.
The girls vanish from the cabin.
Scared,
Running through thickets
To an endless brimmed starry night.
