#1 dad
You’re always here for me
School, friends, family
Whatever problems I have, you comfort me
I remember,
You teaching me how to throw a ball
And driving me to soccer practice
Tucking me in
Telling me bedtime stories about Hansel and Gretel
Explaining to me why I can’t fly
Buying me my first bright red mongoose bike
Your love and compassion exceeds all others
From when I was 5 months,
And falling asleep on your chest
To me being 18,
And you driving me away to college
We have both grown and changed
But over the years,
Your lessons have shaped me into the man I am
I still have so much to learn from you
And as I continue to grow I plan on listening close
Because you still have so much to tell me.
