To My Regrets
The memories you tried not to forget.
The promises you wished you'd kept.
 The words unsaid.
 The blood you've bled.
The thoughts that leap inside your head
 It's mystifying
 Stupefying
 I feel like crying
When I think of that darkness lurking
 Always irking
 With a word of doubt
The pool of things that should have been
 Is over flowing,
 Caving in
I want to dive into those lies
 Never to return again
 That's what I deserve?
What I've been waiting for, trying to curb
 That feeling of wretchedness
 Darkness within
With the secrets I'm keeping, I've got to give in.
Falling over "If only I had…"
Spiraling past "If I could take it back…"
I'm buried deep in who I am.
Something alien, dim, and oh so sad
