Cinnamon Trees
Scents of cinnamon
Pervading the forest.
The heavy winds
Blow the smell into our house
At Christmas time.
We capture the smell in a bottle
And pour it on our pumpkin pie.
The creamy orange texture
Soothes our cravings as it
Gently slides down our throats.
The taste of happiness,
The taste of togetherness,
The taste of family,
Cuddled around a warm fire,
It tastes like cinnamon trees.
