Don't Go
I see the blood run down your wrists
And onto the floor
When will people learn that words can kill?
I sit with you as you cry
And I feel like I’m watching you die
I have no words to say because I know
It’s not “ok”
It’s not ok for you to feel like this
And it’s not ok for me to sit still while this happens
I will be quiet no longer
I will not keep these hurting souls quiet
And I will make things better
Whatever it takes for this to stop
For there to be no more candlelight vigils
For those young ones gone too soon
Because they felt there was no other way
