Love tragedy
You stared into my eyes , those eyes that looked so deep
into my soul and somehow guessed my every emotion.
A simple kiss on the forehead meant that you loved me.
I thought you were a psychic how you knew me so well.
You told me all your deepest secrets, the secrets that
shape your life and made you how you are. The darkest
secrets that made you incapable of living a normal life.
I shared my pain with you. The type of pain that handicapped
me. The type of pain that made the nightmares a portrait
of my reality. You made that pain go away for a while until you
were the one causing the pain. No one wins in the game of love,
we're all just pieces to a unsolvable puzzle. The
puzzled heart that doesn't make any sense to anyone.
The heart that makes you insane when your in love.
That crazy love that we had. The arguing and the
fights we thought we could get through, because we always
found a way back to each other. But that love has drowned.
Drowned like the titantic to the very depths of the open sea.
Too late to try and revive it, this time it's lost forever.
In my heart I'll never accept that, even though it's time I do.
I'll miss those eyes, those eyes that looked so deep
and crashed through the fairy tale lie when I said I was "fine".
Those hands that intertwined between my fingers and held
my fragile face in the creases of them wiping away the salted tears.
Those soft kisses on my forehead. Placed with perfect precision
and made me feel like I was floating in perfect solitude, just us.
We caused each other pain, that type of pain that you sit and
think about for hours. You stare at the television, but the screen
is watching you more than you are watching it as your mind
escapes to visions of how we were when we first met. We
sat and reminisced about the good times, the beginning is
always the most exciting. Like a breath of fresh air in this
contaminated world, it was that first loves kiss. That day on
the gate, on my tip toes reaching my lips onto yours I felt like I
could fly, it was just us in perfect serenity. Our story has
reached the climax, the ending of a love tragedy. Look at the
mess we made. Turns out love is just a figment of our
imaginations , we were hopeless romantics. No one
wins in the game of love.
