People come and people go
Leaving as fast as melting snow
Sometimes I wonder if it’s all a dream
Because things are never as they seem

Living life in uncertainty
Wishing, hoping, a silent plea
For someone to show me there is love
That there is a place in the skies above

That all that I have doubted before
Before I close the broken door
Before I start to fade away
Will someone just tell me to stay?

Am I just an entity?
Is it them, or is it me?
Is life everything that it needs to be?
Or is it just a fantasy?


Every time I close my eyes
I dream about all the lies
Circling like a carousel
Can I die? I might as well

But because of the things I wish to be
And all the things I want to see
I keep going every day
Wanting to leave, but needing to stay

When once upon a time
Becomes happily ever after
I will be sure this is a dream
