In a sea of expectations
Straining

To hold on with sweaty palms
Tumbling

Into the void that is the future
Crumbling

Under the never-ending pressure
Crying

For the losses that remain unknown

Stretching

To grab that last shred of hope
Praying

For the outcome well deserved

Pushing

On hearts to keep trying

Striving

To change fate
Dreaming
Of an amended future

Smiling


Because it can be done
