Electronically Disconnected
Technology overwhelms
The world today
Keeping mankind from
Interacting face to face.
Heads down, fingers clicking;
Obsessed with their lives
Each electronically attached
To one little screen.
All that matters
Is their social status.
Everything they do
Affects their reputation.
But what if
An EMP struck?
No electronics.
No phones, no computers, nothing.
Statuses are worthless,
Reputations are meaningless.
The only thing that matters
Is the future.
Confused and out of touch.
Afraid.
Forced to interact
And ask questions.
No comfort
From the pocket life.
No longer connected
And complete.
People walking with
Heads up; scared, worried.
Working together
To solve the problem.
