TOUCHDOWN

Time is ticking not much is left
My performance has been sickening
I’m seeing my team play from the bench
Time is ticking not much is left

I’m back in the game
But the score is still the same
No more
Time is ticking very few minutes left

HIKE!
I had the ball in my hands
With one chance and I run
I hear the whistle blow
Time is up
But I have already scored
Time is no longer ticking

The author's comments:
The poem is about one of my football games that we desperately needed to win. It went from bad to good, which is why i wrote about it.
