To My "Darkness"

I feel that what's within the light
Let's out what we don't want.
Only darkness can fully cover,
Valiantly, what's in the seams

Everything that's controlled by light,
Yet moves so gracefully,
Once viewed with full vividness
Uselessly burns to nothing.

Kept away from every impurity,
All that's not yet in existence
Tells what darkness truly is.
In that way you're dark;
Eluding all light: pure.

My current muse for poems views herself as a dark "creature", but I felt like telling her that darkness is everything that's pure, since it lies in stasis; just waiting to be revealed.
